LRP not only works with other leading voices in the progressive movement, we are proud to have been leading the vanguard of the progressive movement and shaping the debate to accommodate, feature, and win important progressive policy changes. The fight is far from over, of course; but we are only energized by the progress the movement has made in recent years, honored to have been a part of many of those victories, and proud to have claimed the “progressive” mantle not only well before our competitors, but well before it had become what is today, i.e. the by-word for (Democratic) politicians to meet a threshold of acceptability with the voting public. We further consider it part of our mission to ensure that progressive leadership truly lives up to its promise and means something—rather than becoming not just another platitude employed by cynical politicians and organizations.
We provide individual attention and strategy to every candidate we work for—from the U.S. Senate to City Hall, and everywhere in between. We are committed to helping elect candidates who will further the cause of a more just, equal, free, humane, cooperative, and prosperous society. We understand that may look and sound different in Montana than it does in Maine or Mississippi, but the basic goal is the same and the commitment is no less sincere.
We are honored to have been recognized for our uniquely innovative and creative approach to research in the service of a more just, progressive society. LRP is one of the few Democratic pollsters to receive a lifetime achievement award from the American Association of Political Consultants (AAPC).
We work side by side with our clients on developing communications and paid media, targeting supporters, and honing the messages that win persuadable voters. We use a full range of research tools, from surveys and focus groups to online town halls and ad testing to propel our clients to victory on Election Day.
We have a strong client screen built upon our core values, working only for pro-choice, labor-friendly candidates. We regularly turn down corporate work that is designed to “green-wash” their true agendas, and only work for good corporate citizens. When you check our competitors’ client lists, you’ll find our commitment to progressive leadership is unique.
